Cirque de la Flamme Furieuse
Inspired by the Hartford circus fire of 1944, this collection explores the classical and recontextualises it through experimentation. Fabrics, forms and themes steeped in tradition are brought together in warm browns, reds and dark blues, for those unabashed in their individualism.
Traditional English tailoring
At the forefront of the collection is traditional English tailoring, utilising pad stitching and full canvas suiting. Pure wools, including tweed, gabardine and jersey, are complemented by bespoke screen prints and textured linen trims, burned to further express the concept.
Breathing new life into history
Sydney-based graduate fashion designer Max Baudelaire steeps his designs in stories of the past, breathing new life into history at his independently run namesake brand, Baudelaire.
A graduate of the Whitehouse Institute, Max has worked for Akira Isogawa and Bentex Suits. Advanced pattern making and alternative tailoring are two key elements of Baudelaire.
